Help Melon Invasion

The melons are invading the garden.
We are afraid one morning we will wake to find a melon in bed!
Jack and the beanstalk, move on over, the melon vine is here!
Melons up, down and on the ground, creeping their way to take over the world!
 Yummy juicy melons.

Rose Jewels

 Reaching Roses.
A rose of pink tissue paper?
Jewels adorn a lady rose.

The Pond Keeper

A Blue Skimmer Dragonfly perhaps?
Very welcome and always hovering over the pond.
Keep eating all those mosquitoes, invite your friends over for a party!

Mango Transplant Success

We had a mango tree in the front yard in the shade that was not doing very well,
so we dug it up and put it as the feature tree in our new Japanese style garden...
These are the beginnings of our new garden by the lilly pond,
so far the mango likes her new home.

The Garden in January

We have had good rain and things are literally taking over the garden.
The grass is ridiculous!
Sweet potato has decided to go walkabout...
Watermelon has loved its new spot.
The brussel sprouts have not faired so well, but the kale and asparagus are still producing.
This is a Jaboticaba fruit, and we will try and get a tree next time we see one.
The fruit is a cross between a lychee and a grape...yum.
That is it, time for weeding and mowing.
