Concrete Benchtop Polished and Sealed

 The benchtop was polished with resin pads of varying thicknesses, 

next time we will keep the benchtop hydrated to avoid the hairline cracking hopefully.

The sealing has been a trial and error. 

I wanted water based, low VOC etc this time round, so we used Polyclear , 

which is great on timber or porous concrete, 

but not on marble like finishes such as our finish...

it peeled off completely!

Unlike our other benchtop, 

this one is extremely dense and has a super smooth polished finish, 

so we decided on a water based penetrating sealer, 

like the ones used on marble tops and so far so good.

Now for the splashback and cupboard doors.
