I have read about people fermenting vegetables (old style),
ones handpicked from their gardens,
so I decided to try my first ferment with some beetroot.
It has been 3 days and so far so good (no crazy happenings that is).
I used celtic sea salt and distilled water along with
organic beets, orange peel and ginger.
Fingers crossed, because we will have a lot of vegetables reading for the picking
and I don't want to waste a thing.
Some of the old ways of doing things are great aren't they!
